I have battled sleeping well for a long time, I am in no way an up all nighter like Corinn, but once in awhile it gets super bad. I was tested awhile back and have mild sleep apnea - and the CPAP machine just sits on my nightstand. I hate it. It hurts, it is uncomfortable, it feels like sleep with a small airplane on your face.
Thankfully, Reese is a good sleeper. She puts herself to sleep after a cup of warm milk and two stories. She has her white noise, lullabies and twilight turtle. Reese has a routine - and if we stick to it, she sleeps well.
Yesterday, was along day - and thankfully Gigi was able to pick up Reese. They had dinner, many walks with the dog and I picked her up when I was off after 7pm. So maybe that was "off routine". Around 1am, Reese woke up. Not her usual doing. She also could not go back to sleep. WE brought back to bed, where she tossed and turned like a tornado - and finally started quietly snoring as she was squished up in my armpit.
The night was long . . . Reese woke up many more times, flopped all around. I think I finally went back to sleep around 4am. Danny got up with his alarm and went to work around 6am, I called in sick (or asleep?) and crawled back into bed. After much fight, I finally went back to sleep and Reese and slept until 8:45 am.
What is funny - I feel awful today while Reese is full of energy. Being a Mom is so fun.

I always have trouble sleeping, the hubby too (he hates his cpap). My problem is I can't shut my brain off and I have to go to the bathroom around three times a night- I hate it!
Thankfully D-Man sleeps pretty good most nights.
Hang in there Mamma!
