Reese is 16 months old.
She is still crazy busy and every time we go somewhere a stranger Mom asks me "How old is she?" I am still unsure it is due to her ability to move with speed or her petite size but I think it is giggle worthy.
Reese is continuing to do well at Palcare and has formed a bond with her Teachers. They do a great job at caring for her, handling drop off or giving me little stories when we are on break. I can't wait to have my first conference!
Reese is STILL speaking in her own special language. I feel guilty that I make no effort to work with her on things but I then feel it will come when she is ready. Her words are very strong and seem to mean something - to her. I just wish we knew what that was. With the lack of talking, comes tantrums, hitting and biting of us (thank goodness NOT at school) - it is so hard but we have to be strong and let her cry and be upset. BUT her biting me 3 minutes of walking in the door from work the other day was the last straw. I gave her no comfort and let her scream on the floor and went to the back of the house.

Reese and Gigi seem to be enjoying their Wednesdays together. Mom is great to meet me at Palcare and then takes Reese to our house and they spend the day doing (my) laundry, playing in the backyard and basement. I am so happy that they have a great bond and often Reese starts to cry when Gigi puts her jacket on . . . she looks down at her arms and pulls like "Where is my jacket?" It is really very sweet.
May should bring us lots of fun times and hopefully more great weather!
