Reese seems to have started a sleep strike - it has been a mere 3 days but I am more worn out then I was those first days home. I had hormones on my side then, your body goes into survival mode and you have an odd fake high of energy during the day.
When she woke up crying the first night at 2:30am, my eyes burned with pain as I sat in the dark rocking and nursed her back to a calm sleep. It happened last night at 12:30pm after I fought with the cats and their annoying howling and vomiting (I think it is the new food I bought). I am tired, no . . . I am exhausted. I have had a headache and I can't think clearly - I can't type! I will have to re-do this blog about 8 times before you read it.
I am unsure what to do. The ear infection followed by the cold has thrown her off. And now with the bottom TWO teeth still pushing through she has a top coming in. I think she is in pain. I do what I can to relieve it - but nothing seems to help. She naps maybe 30 minutes three times a day - she is grumpy and tired. But smiles and cries.
I better go to bed before she wakes up.

Hi Jenny. I hope things gets back to normal for you and Reese. Then you can both catch up on that much needed rest. I hope the teeth come through soon and relieve her pain.

Oh that is the worst. I am sorry, I hope things get back to normal fast.
My daughter had been waking up and screaming lately as well.. Then I discovered the power of a white noise machine. Seriously. Her naps went from me having to hold her,and her waking up if I moved to her having 2 hour naps alone. twice a day!! It helps during the night as well.. she sleeps like a rock.
Would something like that be an option for you? I think it helps because it blocks out all the little sounds that wake up little ones during the night.

Sorry to hear that she is not sleeping well for you :( Just when you think that you (and she) are on a great schedule....she decides to go through a growth spurt or get some new teeth!! It will pass.
