Over the last month, I have been interviewing with two different families to care for their children along with Reese. One was to be here at our home, the other was to be more of a Nanny at their home. Both were wonderful children, great Moms and seemed like a great idea. I was having trouble deciding what was best for me and of course for Reese, and which was better money. The Nanny position went with someone else - which was ok, because I was worried that their house would be just too large with two busy Toddlers.
I was continuing to work 2 days a week for Palcare, and was mainly filling in in the Preschool room and I got my groove back . . . suddenly. I felt like my old Teacher self again. Maybe it was being back with the age group I love so much, or being able to talk with parents that needed a listening ear but I just felt like a Teacher again.
SO . . . I decided to stay with Palcare. Funny, huh? I will now be working Tuesday thru Thursday. Reese will be continue to be there 2 days and Gigi will watch her on Wednesdays. For now, it will work for us and maybe down the road a job will become available or I will find one at another center. Plus, Reese really is enjoying herself now in Sea Stars. Her drops offs aren't great but her days are :)
All this made me realize that the grass always looks greener . . . but sometimes it is just fine where you are at.

Glad to hear she is enjoying "school!" She is lucky to have her Gigi time one day a week! Why look for another center. Palcare seems ideal for both of you??

so true, about greener grass. sometime we push and push, and worry ourselves into a tizzy over something... and then it just passes, and things are great. Glad you are happy with your new arrangement.
