Fifteen!

Reese is 15 months old!

Busy as ever and never wants to sit down . . . unless there is pasta to eat. Reese's early walking has turned into plain ol' running now. She takes off anywhere and seems to have little worry about where she is going. It makes it hard to go places because she has to be in the stroller, Ergo or carried. Danny has been brave to use the "walking harness" but I feel silly and like I have her on a leash!

Reese has officially called Danny "Dada" but really when she feels like it - it is not a n everyday, or every moment word. The rest of her language is her own. She makes speeches, yells at us, talks to her toys, but all in her own repetitive "da da da doooo" sort of language. It is way cute, and funny.

Reese's eating is much of a mystery. Some days she is a bit of a Fruitatrian no matter what I put in front of her. Other days, she eats all her food well. Most days, we have to trick her by pureeing veggies to be a sort of "sauce" on her favorite wheel pasta.

We did decide to use a bottle. I was trying REALLY hard not too, but she was not drinking milk. At all. I love nursing, but was feeling like she may never self wean if I give her no other option. I warmed a soy milk (doesn't seem to like Cow's milk) bottle one evening before bed and let her drink it while watching her favorite show Oswald, then when I took her into to bed, nursed her and she went down with ease. It is now our new bedtime routine to have a bottle about an hour before bedtime nursing. It makes MY life easier and seems to make her able to put herself down with ZERO crying. She has a full tummy and can just touch her ears and fall asleep.
