I have always loved books and even more I have always enjoyed reading with children. I have often been asked "Are you reading to Reese?" and felt a bit of guilty for not doing it. It was not like I didn't try, but Reese always preferred to be busy, moving and shaking and I knew it wasn't going to happen. I chose to not push it.
The last week (or two) Reese has enjoyed books on her own. I catch her quietly sitting and flipping the pages, the book, investigating each and every page. She uses her fine motor skills to pick to pages apart and often points to items that interest her on the page.

It's always so fun when you catch them "reading".
wow, such focus and concentration! funny, lila used to looove reading and now won't sit through any books. what can you do?
