Paci, no way.

I thought I would be a Nazi about doing what is right for breastfeeding - and everything tells you how pacifiers aren't helpful (some books and website tell you they are down right bad). But in those early days when she would cry and be inconsolable, I tried them. I say them because I literally tried 5 brands and by the advise of Auntie Corinn, we tried the MAM brand.

It worked, for awhile. They were getting easier to control, she was no longer spitting them across the room and it seemed like she liked it.

I noticed about 2 weeks ago that she did not like them, she made faces when I tried it, she chewed it or only sucked the tip (which frighten me and my nipples). So I just sort of stopped trying them . . . or only did when we were out and I needed 10 more minutes in the car to make it home. But on a recent trip, we found that she does not like them . . . and she is simply done with that business.

I am posting on of my favorite pictures (taken 1/15/07), she looks all drowsy and cute with a Paci. Now, she just sucks on her lower lip. Cute.
