On the 16th, we took a long drive to visit Danny's half sister, Michelle (and family) in Fresno for her daughter's birthday. The drive there was fine . . . but turning right around with hardly enough naps & with only a bit of down time at their house & a walk at Wal-Mart . . . was a bad idea, first time parents always have a lesson to learn.
Somewhere in the 2nd hour of the ride home, Reese was done with it and began to scream. Not the crying that I can calm with some annoying singing, or rocking her carseat but some toe-curling screaming. It was sad to hear and I broke down and cried too. We pulled over on an off ramp and took her out and she was soaked with sweat from crying. I cried more.
We changed, dried, put on a clean diaper and dry clothes and with sadness put her back in . . . I sat with her and rocked her carseat until finally she gave in and went to sleep.
The following day, Reese took about 5 naps . . . I think she needed some time to recover.

Oh how sad! I know that toe-curling scream though - Riley's given it to us from her car seat before too! We did the same thing, pulled over, took her out, and she, too, was sweating from crying so hard. Just breaks your heart! Glad you guys made it home okay : )
