Who wants to be up a million times a night only to feed a baby for 10 minutes and her to snooze back to sleep (on the boob). I was personally a bit tired, of it and getting up to only be the pacifier for my darling daughter.
I got an article emailed to me by the wonderful Teija about swaddling . . . we had done it in the beginning but she always broke out or seemed to hate it. Well, this article proved me wrong by not only reminding me that she is a baby and likes to be swaddled but that I may be doing it wrong! Duh.
I took back out the wonderful Swaddle Me and put her in, pushed her cute little arms down straight and wrapped her up and velcro secured it. She looks (really) like a baby burrito. At first she squirms but once I feed her, burp her and a bit of rocking. I can lay her (without her waking herself) in the cradle and often (not every night) she sleeps until 4 or 5 am - which is good for 2 1/2 months!
Her official awake time is between 8:30 - 9 am and the swaddle gives us a good morning full of smiles . . . check it out!
